NIPPI manufactures aircraft components and space equipment as well as provides design/MRO/modification services. NIPPI is the only aerospace-specialized company in Japan. Established in1934 before WW2, Located in Kanagawa Prefecture (south of Tokyo), As such and as a member of the Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. (KHI) group, NIPPI is a key player in the aerospace industry.

At its main manufacturing site, Yokohama Plant with composite components as its core business, NIPPI has designed and manufactured main/nose landing gear doors, fuselage frames, wing ribs, etc. in joint international passenger/ freighter aircraft projects as well as participated in almost all domestic aircraft production programs for the ministry of Defense in Japan.
For space equipment, we have developed proprietary structural extension/deployment technologies based on its engineering/design expertise accumulated in the aircraft business. NIPPI has many achievements in providing such mechanisms for antennas and solar cell paddles for almost all Japanese satellites.

At the Atsugi Plant, its MRO hub with our large-size hungers equipped with the latest maintenance/support equipment and staffed with skilled mechanics, we provide integrated services from maintenance, repair and overhaul to fright test for a wide range of aircraft for Japan’s Ministry of Defense/Coast Guard and worldwide commercial operators. We are also a proven US military aircraft service station, with a high reputation for over half a century. In recent years, with such social issues like decreasing birthrates and aging population NIPPI is responding to customer needs with on-site support at airports, military bases and other locations nationwide. To date, NIPPI has a track record that has reached over 14,000 aircraft comprising of more than 100 models.

Thanks to the support, NIPPI will celebrate our 90th anniversary this year. We will continue to further enhance our business / cultivated technological fields and improve our core competencies with technological developments aimed at automation and streamlining in the manufacturing and maintenance of aerospace equipment.
Through this we aim to strengthen our business foundation, continuing to contribute to our nation's security while also providing products and services that meet our customer needs.

While the environment around us is changing drastically, at such time, we will firmly pursue better “QCD” (quality/cost/delivery) performances, the basis of a manufacturer like us, to grow stronger as a globally trusted and competitive aerospace manufacturer.
