NIPPI boasts a track record of over half a century of servicing American Navy and Marine aircraft since concluding an aircraft repair agreement with the American navy in 1953, with that work currently forming the core of all maintenance work accounting approximately 80% of the total number of aircraft. NIPPI enhances its maintenance technology in response to the evolving American military aircraft technology, and carries out maintenance on many kinds of aircraft, including the latest planes such as the F/A-18 Super Hornet mainstay fighter plane and the H-60 Ocean Hawk anti-submarine helicopter. In addition to maintenance carried out at the Aircraft Maintenance Division next to Atsugi Airport, we also offer "On-site Maintenance," where we dispatch engineers to American bases: Futenma (in Okinawa Prefecture) and Iwakuni (in Yamaguchi Prefecture), achieving reduced maintenance time and cost.

Helicopter ditching /escape training systems

NIPPI was the first in the world to develop a training system for helicopter ditching and pilot escape.

We developed the world's first Helicopter Water Landing Escape Simulator, a training system that prepares for helicopter accidents. The system provides a realistic simulation of a helicopter's emergency landing on water, and makes possible not only ensuring the safety of the pilots, but also the minimizing loss due to accidents. It is a new system born of the idea of NIPPI as a creator of safety.
