The 21st Century will be the true space age, for Space is the frontier that offers the greatest potential for the human race. But to succeed in space, we need infrastructures for our activities. That's why Nippi's extension technology is so important. Nippi makes structures that are very compact in launch phase but expand to great size on orbit. This technology is essential for deploying solar cell panels and other equipments in space. Ever since Nippi became the first company to develop coilable extendible masts (movie) in Japan, we have created many other advanced products (CG) for space use, including articulated extendible masts that make higher performance in strength and stiffness, largeand components for x-ray space telescopes. We also participate in the development of the H-Il series, J-1, and extensible structures (movie) for M series launch vehicles.
